Christ Lutheran School

Ethan Doble is the principal and upper grades teacher at Christ Lutheran School.  Born in New Ulm, Minnesota in 1996, he spent most of his childhood in Michigan.  He graduated from Martin Luther College in the spring of 2018.  Following his graduation, he was called to serve as the principal and upper grades teacher at Zion Lutheran School in Valentine, Nebraska.  During his time at Martin Luther College, Ethan met his wife, Emma.  In 2020, they were blessed with a daughter, Ella.  In his free time, Ethan enjoys a variety of activities, including hunting, fishing, camping and sports. 

Miss Elena Thoma is a 2022 graduate from Martin Luther College with a bachelor of science degree in Education.  Before attending MLC, Elena graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran High School in 2018.  She enjoys spending time in God's creation, exploring the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.  Elena has four siblings and both of her parents are called workers serving in Sturgeon Bay.  She also enjoys all aspects of music including singing and playing a variety of instruments. 

Lori Gieschen is the teacher in the Kindergarten/First grades classroom.  Lori was born in Wisconsin and has resided in Eagle River for the last 31 years.  A graduate of Doctor Martin Luther College, in New Ulm, MN with a bachelor of science degree in Education with an emphasis in English.  She has served in various WELS schools  throughout her teaching career.  Lori is married to Pastor Phil Gieschen and has been blessed with two children, Julia and Ben.  Travel, hiking, gardening, quilting and any outdoor activities are her favorite pastimes when not at school.  She looks forward to being back in the hallways of a place very dear to her heart.

Emma Doble grew up in California, Texas and Florida before entering Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN.  She enjoys being outdoors, crafting and teaching.  Emma taught K-3rd grade in Valentine, Nebraska, for two years.  in 2020 she and her      husband, Ethan, welcomed their daughter, Ella.  Emma is looking forward to meeting students and families and teaching God's little lambs at Christ's Preschool.

Kathy Boehm is the Administrative Assistant for Christ Lutheran Church and School.  Kathy was born and raised in Illinois and moved to Conover in 1988 to run a family owned resort for 32 years.  During that time, she was the secretary at Christ Lutheran School  from 2008-2017.  Kathy and her husband Karl have three children, Kaitlin, Jared and Joshua and four grandchildren.  She loves spending time at the lake, camping and kayaking.  She also enjoys crafting, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
